Gate 6 - The Gate of Friction

Welcome to gate 6, the gate of friction, which is located in our solar plexus. This gate is also known as the gate of conflict.

There is a wish for intimacy in this gate. But intimacy requires us to be vulnerable and show our true colours. The desire to be close to others is strong in this gate, but so is the fear of putting yourself out there.

On the gift side of this gate, you can experience growth through friction. You might even be breaking down walls. Your ability to solve conflicts through diplomacy is possible because you don’t look for who did what, but you look for a solution that can be beneficial for all.

If you find yourself in a defensive position, both towards yourself and towards others, know that you might be on the low expression side of this gate. If you start to micro-manage and play small, take a breath and a step back, and connect to your strategy and inner authority once again.  Allow yourself to be emotionally vulnerable and be aware of where you are making decisions from a place of friction.

Intimacy is available for you as long as you take responsibility for your emotional energy that comes from this gate.
