Gate 31 - The Gate of Leading

Gate 31 is the Gate of Leading, also known as the Reluctant Leader”. This gate is in Leo and is located in our throat centers.

Its voice is “I lead…” and comes from a place of integrity. 

These are leaders who are elected by the people and who take on the assignment and responsibility from a place of reluctance. But when they do speak up, they do so on behalf of the people.

Your words will be what influence others, and this is done by first listening to the group before you share the group’s opinion.

In today’s world, we need more leaders who are elected democratically and who are willing to speak on behalf of the group without being dominant and manipulative. Humble is a trait here that I wish more leaders could lean into. 

We do not need more leaders who speak without taking action, or who force themselves into leadership positions without being elected by the people. 

In this gate lies the potential for listening to the people first, and then sharing the common opinion of what is needed in this moment.
