Gate 16 - The Gate of Skills

The sun keeps moving through the Human Design mandala, and today we welcome the gate of skills.

This gate is not just about your skills, but also about the skills of others. If you have gate 16 defined in your chart already you might have sensed that you naturally pick up other people’s talents. 

You also naturally see what the collective is in need of, and you are able to find solutions for almost any problem. This is something that you gladly share with others in a very enthusiastic way. 

It is said that if you have a talent and you keep repeating this talent, then after about 7 years, you have made the talent you have a part of your identity. 

And since life also involves our shadow sides of things, you can be more concerned with covering your own needs over the collective. Should you be less enthusiastic about something, you can lower someone else’s enthusiasm. You can give up because you do not find your talent to be perfect, or on the other hand, you can show off as more talented than you are.
